Elixir is a dosage form of a solution that has a taste or smell delicious, contains in addition to medication, as well as additives such as sugar or other sweeteners, dyes, fragrance substances, and substances used as preservatives in drugs.
The main use of ethanol as a solvent which is intended to enhance drug solubility. Glycerol can be added, and propilenglikol sorbital can be used instead of sugar molasses.
Storage. In a tightly closed container.
